Man, scanners are really the most frustrating things to work with. And digital cameras don't quite capture art at the best angle. *shakes head* They need to invent an artist-friendly scanner - I don't know what's worse then putting hours of work into getting a deep rich tangible colour only to have it flattened/destroyed/mangled by that machine! Ok, well, not so much 'hours' in my case, but it definately applied to your work!
